The second work in a seven-part cycle drawn from the chakra system, the Sanskrit चक्र (cakra) "wheel" denoting the body's revolving centers of subtle energy. Where ROOT holds the foundation, SACRAL is the first thing that moves: स्वाधिष्ठान (svādhiṣṭhāna), "one's own dwelling place," whose element is water and whose remit is emotion, pleasure, and the refusal of rigidity.
The work carries: Creativity · Joy · Intimacy · Emotional Expression · Flexibility.
