Collection: Nullvoid Wars - Part C

PART C of FIELD TRIP 0061 focuses on the anchor fuzul Donavan Maze and his group of fighters known as Antikythera.

Antikythera is the Nullvoid’s technology warlord tribe, built by Donovan Maze after a neural toxin destroyed his brother Romulus and left him alive only through a cord joining him to his wife Rhea’s organs. Donovan went east to the back-room cultivators, had himself augmented piece by piece, then gathered every tech head and half-converted survivor he could find into an army of machines and people who are more machine than human. The name is a claim: a two-thousand-year-old mechanism dredged from a shipwreck, proof that the knowledge was always there and only the worthy ever raise it. They fight by Donovan’s reading of an old general’s book on armor, concentrating everything at one point, punching through rather than grinding, and moving faster than the enemy can decide. The sequence rarely changes. Stymphs clear a corridor through the Trembler fields, Ragnaria Ashby blinds the line with flash drones from the air, Dixie Quartermain runs Bjorn Serke into the thick of it at full speed, and Reliquary Marrow drives his bone mech straight into the enemy’s core with no plan for coming back. Phineas Gage holds the whole thing together as second in command, and Romulus reads the ground from the bunkers below. Mercy is treated as inefficiency, prisoners as material, and fear as the only reliable instrument of leadership. What Antikythera believes, beneath the doctrine and the salvaged brilliance, is that flesh was never sacred and the future belongs to whoever admits it first.
