Collection: Nullvoid Wars - Part A

PART A of FIELD TRIP 0061 focuses on the anchor fuzul Orpheus Rex and his group of traveling musicians known as THE UNALIGNED.

The Unaligned move through the battlefields of the Nullvoid as a nation of their own, with no land, no flag, and no side. Founded by Orpheus Rex, a cyborg singer and guitarist who never accepted the tribal wars tearing the world apart, they play for warriors on every side, offering a few hours of joy before the fighting starts again. They took their name from an insult a warlord once spat at Orpheus and painted it on the lead truck the next morning. Their rules are simple and never broken: no flags, no weapons on stage, and no carrying messages between camps. The lineup is as patched together as the world around them. Kip Tsiolkov shreds with robotic hands he coded himself. Icarus Goddard soars highest over the crowds and can rig any broken PA. Echo Drift writes the band’s lyrics of love and understanding. On drums, Thaddeus Thrum, a robot built from extinct-animal exhibits, plays on bones to give the dead peace, Tamber Lane plays on skulls and closes every show with two hand-built fireworks, and Lucius Pulsifer, an ancient sentient toy, keeps perfect time. Behind them all, Dorian Spin books their routes and broadcasts their shows through old satellites on Theta Triple Bar, spreading one message: as time decays, we all remain equal.
